Installation & Mechanical Guidelines
- Thread engagement: Use the M8x1 thread on the 330904-00-12-05-02-00 for a maximum of 12 mm. Hand-tighten the probe first before final torque.
- Torque requirements: Apply a maximum torque of 0.56 N•m (5 in•lb) for the probe case. Use 5.1 N•m (45 in•lb) for the connector-to-connector fitting.
- Field wiring: Use a three-conductor shielded triad cable. Select a wire size from 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG).
- Cable length limit: Keep the wiring length within 305 meters (1,000 feet) between the Proximitor Sensor and the monitor.
- Target size requirement: Use a minimum flat target of 8.9 mm (0.35 in) diameter. A 13 mm (0.5 in) diameter target provides the best scale factor stability.
Environmental & Agency Compliance
- Temperature schedule (EPL Ga/Gc): Supports T1 to T5 classifications from -55°C up to +232°C. Refer to the manual for specific class limits.
- Pressure seal design: The 3300 NSv Proximity Probes uses a Viton O-ring to seal differential pressure. It does not receive factory pressure testing before shipment.
- Agency approval: This unit (Option -00) does not require specific agency approval. Contact us for custom approvals if needed.
