Module Features & Design

  • High channel density (32 inputs) maximizes space efficiency in control cabinets.
  • Wide input range (10-32V DC) supports standard 12V and 24V DC industrial control circuits.
  • Two isolated groups (16 channels each) allow connection to two separate DC power sources.
  • Fast 5ms response time ensures quick detection of state changes for process interlocks.
  • Individual per-channel LEDs provide instant visual status feedback for troubleshooting.
  • Extended operating temperature range (-40°C to +70°C) ensures reliability in harsh environments.
  • Designed as a sinking input; the field DC voltage is applied between the input terminal and the common terminal.

Installation & Wiring Guidelines

  • Install in a compatible Honeywell HC900 rack. A Euro style 36-terminal block is required for field connections.
  • Connect the DC common (negative) of the field supply to the appropriate COM terminal pair for the channel group.
  • Connect the switched DC positive wire from field devices (e.g., sensors, contacts) to the desired input terminals.
  • Wire channels 1-16 to one common pair and channels 17-32 to the other to maintain isolation between groups.
  • Ensure the field power supply is within the 10-32V DC range and can provide the required input current.
  • Use proper wire gauges and follow local electrical codes for low-voltage DC wiring.

Typical Applications

  • Monitoring proximity switch, photoelectric sensor, and limit switch status.
  • Reading relay and solid-state switch outputs.
  • Process interlock and safety system status monitoring.
  • General-purpose DC status input for machine control and automation.
