Electrical and Wiring Details
- Field Wiring: Use 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG) wire. We recommend a 3-conductor shielded triad cable with tinned conductors.
- Maximum Cable Length: 305 meters (1,000 feet) between the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and the monitor. Longer wiring reduces high-frequency response; refer to frequency response graphs for signal rolloff.
- Intrinsic Safety: The 330104-02-13-10-01-00 supports Class I, Zone 0 (AEx/Ex ia IIC T5...T1 Ga) when installed with zener barriers per drawing 141092 or with galvanic isolators.
- Non-incendive Rating: Supports Class I, Zone 2 (AEx/Ex nA IIC T5…T1 Gc) and Class I, Division 2 Groups A-D when installed with nonincendive circuits per drawing 140979.
