Installation & Field Wiring

  • Use 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG) tinned copper wire for field connections.
  • Bently Nevada recommends using 3-conductor shielded triad cable for optimal signal integrity.
  • The maximum cable length between the Proximitor Sensor and monitor is 305 meters (1,000 feet).
  • For high-frequency applications, consult the frequency response graphs (Figures 10 & 12) for signal rolloff.
  • The probe seals differential pressure between tip and case using a Viton® O-ring.
  • We do not pressure test each probe before shipping. Contact our custom design team for testing requirements.
